Ok so dogs walks near me – Nottinghamshire area this is a nice, short and sweet post! Oh and just look at this dogs face. So if you don’t know Nottingham that well or have just moved down, then this post will help out on places to go with the family and doggie friend if you’re a local but not been to these places then great as well…Tuck in.

1. Rufford Abbey Country Park

This is a great walk for families, dog walkers or even that romantic couples walk. It has plenty of area to walk around, old ruins (boarded off) Ice cream parlour and cafe to stop of before or after the walk, A big boating lake. They also have activities like adventure golf and archery and a playground for the kids. This is also free to entry, so come down with the family, bring you dog (on lead only) and have some fun.

2. Sherwood Forest

Great place for the family, dog walkers, joggers, the nature enthusiast or anyone who wants a breath of fresh forest air. There are plenty of walks and trails for all ages and fitness levels just bring your imagination. Also you need to come to meet Robin Hood with the family and don’t forget the Major Oak, it left an impression on me asa young child when i came here on a school trip. Most importantly there is a cafe to stop and refuel after a good walk around.

3. Clumber Park

Great again for the family, dog walkers and fitness enthusiasts as you have a decent lake to run around. This one is a national trust so great if you’re an annual member if not it’s only £11.25 for the family. Like above it has to have a cafe to be a good day out and Clumber park does just that, so stop off either before or after and took into some cake
